The Outdoors in Grapeland, Texas

Grapeland's signature outdoor spot is Salmon Lake Park, a large private recreation and camping resort just outside town. It's best known for its bluegrass festivals, held over Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, which draw musicians and fans from across the region — but the park is a year-round destination, with cabins, RV sites, tent camping, fishing, and reunion halls.

With hundreds of RV sites, dozens of cabins, and several reunion halls, the park serves as an event center for East Texas, hosting family and school reunions, parties, car shows, and festivals.
